There are only 2 viable options to refine shadow gears that are difficult to obtain: {{Item List|id=23436|item=Shadow Refine Hammer}} which will result in a random refine on the shadow gear from 1~10 with 10 being extremely rare, or {{Item List|id=23926|item=+9 Shadow Hammer}} which will bring your shadow gear of choice to +9. You can then use {{Item List |id=6635|item=Blacksmith Blessing}} and enriched ores to get the gear to +10. If the shadow gear you are refining can be easily farmed, you can use normal ores to try to get the gear to +7 before using the bsb.
