Overview
With each purgatory run you will gain a
Proof of Divinity , to use the proof of divinity you can talk with the book located at the middle of the Purgatory room "noli me tangere"
- Each party member needs to have the amount of proofs needed to open the instance
- In case of a party wipe, the proofs are not consumed, they only get consumed when the Angel is killed
- The drops will vary depending on the difficulty chosen
- Tokens of Siegfried, re-entry and alts are disabled during the fight
- Only 1 of each type of class can get into the Guardian Angel fight (with the exception of 2 ABs per party)
- Every 2 member in the party adds random 40-80 million shield and 50 res/mres to the Guardian Angel
Class Changes
- Healing from Mediale Votum is reduced by 50%
- Resistances are capped at 90%
- Activity Points (AP) Are not lost upon death
- Ignition Break deals -50% reduced damage
- Cross Impact deals -75% reduced damage
- Rebound Shield reduction is now 5/10/15/20/25 %
- Guardian Shield now has a value of 25/50/75/125 %
- Aimed Bolt deals -50% reduced damage
- Crescive Bolt deals -50% reduced damage
- Cart Cannon deals -30% reduced damage
- Chain Lighting deals -25% reduced damage

Walkthrough
Boss Mechanics
Flame Wave
During the fight with the Guardian Angel, flame waves will travel through out the map, touching these flames will result in death. There is a spot on the map that the flames will never touch.
Stances
Guardian Angel cycles between 5 modes in this order: Shield>Reflect>Berserk>Recovery>Magic. There will be an announcement as to which stance guardian angel is entering, and will be marked by an icon ontop of guardian angel's head. Stances each last for a set duration (15 sec, 5 sec, 30 sec, 10 sec, respectively), during which he will gain additional skills depending on the stance. Additionally, each stance will add a mechanic that must be dealt with.
Shield Stance:
Shield mode is the first stance Guardian Angel will enter. During this mode, it will cast several defensive skills reducing the effectiveness of physical damage (melee and range), while making magic damage stronger against it.
Skills:
Defender, Auto Guard, Piety and Stone Skin, Shield Chain, Shield Press, Shield Shooting, Shield Boomerang, Cross Rain
Reflect Stance:
The second stance of Guardian Angel. During this mode, it will activate max pain and punish all players should it be attacked.
Skills:
Quagmire, Wide Stone, Wide Freeze, Wide Sleep, Nifflheim Requiem, Land Protector, Conflagration, Manhole
Berserk Stance:
RES and MRES of the boss will be halved during this phase. He will however attempt to wipe the entire party at the start of it with his wide grasp>lock on laser combo, and he will also receive buffs to his damage and aspd.
Skills:
Wide Death Grasp, Wide Lockon Laser, NPC Randombreak, Bodyrelocation (on random target), Masquerade Ignorance
Recovery Stance:
His Res and MRes will again be halved during this stance. However, he will also cast a special version of recovery conversion, turning all damage he receives into healing.

Magic Stance:
The final stance of Guardian Angel. During this phase, guardian angel will begin casting several elemental master skills, along with skills that allow him to evade magic attacks at the cost of his physical defense. He will also cast ganbantein during this mode, so make sure YOUR land protector is up!

Hard Mode
Hard mode can be accessed by using 10
Proof of Divinity . During hard mode, the Guardian Angel will gain 2 additional mechanics; purging flames and randomized soul.
Flame Wave
Flame Wave will only happen at the start of the fight
Purging Flames
The mechanic is signified by Guardian Angel announcing "By fire be purged", After which flames will engulf the entire map for 20 seconds. You have 5 seconds to start looking for the safe zone, which will be marked on your mini map, after which an entire lines of flames will spawn every second 2. After a total of 10 seconds the entire map is engulfed. The safe area is not the same each time, its selected at random.
Randomized Soul
The soul will spawn 10 cells on the left of the Guardian Angel and walk 1 cell / second. Upon reaching boss it will either heal the boss for 100m HP or cause an explosion that will deal heavy damage to the party.
